What is Agile Project Management?

The Agile project management technique consists of an iterative procedure.

The team completes the project phases in iterations or sprints. Scrum is one of the most used approaches to Agile development. The team makes the prioritized requirements and product features into the system; this is as per the information was given by the Product Owner and other partners.

Elements of Agile Project Management

Some of the elements of Agile project management are as follows:

1) Visual Control: This is a technique in Agile, used for planning and organizing the project work. This is carried out using display cards; the display cards use diverse color codes. There is one expressing the features of the solution. The project phases are finished for this.

The immigration of the solution to the Production environment is also finished. The other group reflects the set of features for which we finish the requirements gathering, design, coding and build, testing, retesting, etc. This set is not yet transferred to Production.

3) Adaptive Control: In an Agile project each team individual is adapting to changes repeatedly. There could be different types of changes such as change requests and scope changes. The role of a project manager in such an atmosphere is usually of a leadership role. The manager generally has the responsibility of creating some ground rules. They set up working relationships and fosters teamwork among the team individuals.

The Agile team associates should adjust to the changes in the project, they should learn from the previous cycle, and then apply it in the next cycle. This is also measured a best practice, appropriate in any project.

 4) Iterative Development: In Agile, the Scrum team develops the service or product. The team develops this in an iterative process, doing changes based on the changes in requirements; this also consists of new change requests.

A demonstration of the service or product is generally arranged for the Product Owner. This allows the stakeholders to take a look at the working prototype of the product or service, enabling for recommendations regarding changes or enhancements. These new requirements or recommendations are then incorporated into the service or product. The Scrum team complete this in the next cycle. This finishes the development cycle of the service or products.
