ITIL framework is one of the main protagonists of this concept that states that once you understand a new or improved practice, whether it is from ITSM library or from industry, then you adopt it in your project. But before doing so, you need to apply your domain knowledge, your existing constraints and your upcoming opportunities, to modify that practice to make it suitable for your needs.
